The eighth-ranked MLB prospect proved to be too much for the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League Wild Card Series. After introducing himself in Game 1, outfielder Evan Carter blasted his first career homer in the fourth inning in Game 2. The two-run shot makes him the youngest Rangers player ever (21 years and 36 days old) to go deep in a Postseason game and the second rookie to do so since 2010, joining Mitch Moreland. Carter is off to a great start to his Postseason career, reaching base safely in his first six plate appearances. His effort helped Texas secure its first Postseason series win since 2011.
