Japanese southpaw Shota Imanaga pushed all the right buttons in his game with the Chicago Cubs. The Oakland Athletics were no match for the left-handed hurler, tossing six innings of work and striking out a career-high 11 batters in the 9-2 win. Imanaga's final punchout of the night gave him 170 for the season, tying him Dick Drott (1957) for the second-most by a Cubs rookie since 1901. "There's no question he's having a heck of a season," Cubs skipper Craig Counsell said.
