The all-time MLB Japanese strikeout leader continued to rack up his count in his 12th MLB season. San Diego Padres right-hander Yu Darvish was up for the task against the Los Angeles Dodgers, hurling seven shutout frames and punching out seven in the win, 4-0. The 37-year-old extended his scoreless-inning streak to 18, matching a career-best from 2013, and tallied his 1,000th career National League strikeout. Darvish has limited the Dodgers to just three runs in three starts this season.
