It was a Hollywood ending to see Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani make headlines after being honored by the city council earlier in the day. With the news of Los Angeles County officials declaring May 17 as "Shohei Ohtani Day," the two-time AL MVP Award winner took it upon himself to smack an opposite-field two-run blast in the third inning. Ohtani's National League-leading 13th homer contributed to a 7-3 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.
