Pittsburgh Pirates fireballer Paul Skenes picked up his first career win in emphatic fashion. In an afternoon matchup with the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, the rookie was on from the start, setting a franchise record with seven straight strikeouts to begin the game. Skenes would go on to strike out 11 across six no-hit innings, helping the Pirates pick up a 9-3 victory. The 21-year-old's punchout total were the most ever by a Pirates pitcher in a start at Wrigley Field.
