It's safe to say that Paul Skenes has avoided a sophomore slump in his second season with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The 23-year-old ace threw seven scoreless innings in a 4-0 shutout against the Colorado Rockies. Skenes' dominant performance brought his career ERA to 2.02, the second-lowest in MLB history (Vida Blue, 2.01) through 50 starts in the Live Ball Era (since 1920).
