Once New York landed Gerrit in free agency this past offseason, Yankees fans could not wait for the 20-game winner to make his first start for the Club. Cole came as advertised in Thursday night's matchup against the Nationals. The hard throwing righthander struck out five in as many innings while allowing just one run on an Adam Eaton solo home run. Talk about a good first impression!
