The reigning AL Cy Young Award winner did his job, holding the Kansas City Royals lineup to just one run over seven innings of work and punching out four. Cole's clinic propelled the Yankees to their 19th American League Championship Series in franchise history. "We're fired up," he said. "This is the greatest." Cole lowered his Postseason career ERA to 2.94 after the outing.
