Toronto's Max Scherzer added another milestone to his career in a 7-0 win over the Seattle Mariners. The veteran right-hander struck out 10 over seven innings, passing Gaylord Perry for ninth all-time with 3,535 strikeouts. Scherzer also joined Nolan Ryan as the only pitchers in MLB history with an outing of 10-plus strikeouts and one or no hits allowed at age 42-plus.
