As the New York Yankees bats erupted against Boston, Austin Wells delivered a standout showing in a 16-1 rout over the Red Sox. With his Club already ahead by double digits, the slugging backstop added two home runs off the bench in the eighth inning. Wells became the sixth Yankees player ever to homer twice in one inning and the first since Gleyber Torres (2022).
