Oakland Athletics outfielder Lawrence Butler etched his name into franchise history as his dynamic rookie season continued. His third-inning double down the left-field line marked 20 straight games with a hit, making him the first Athletics player to log a 20-plus game hitting streak since 2003 (Eric Byrnes). Butler holds the longest active streak in the League and is five games away from tying Jason Giambi's Club record of 25 straight games with a knock.
