Due to his dominance on the mound and at the plate, few were surprised when Shohei Ohtani was crowned the 2021 American League MVP. Ohtani, who was voted the MVP unanimously, was handed the award in a ceremony before yesterday's game between the Angels and the Tampa Bay Rays. Ohtani was handed the award by Angels owner Arte Moreno, while the chants of thousands of adoring fans filled the stadium.
