After what was an unforgettable 2022 Major League Baseball campaign for Shohei Ohtani, the two-way threat made MLB history once again on the final day of the season. After pitching the 162nd inning of his season in yesterday's meeting between the Angels and the Oakland Athletics, Ohtani qualified for League leaders for a pitcher. Combined with his leaderboard-qualifying 502-plus plate appearances, this made Ohtani the first player in the World Series era to be qualified as both a pitcher and a batter on the year-end leaderboards.
