In his first Postseason start as a member of the New York Yankees, Gerrit Cole had a remarkable performance. The right-hander delivered his second career Postseason outing with at least 12 strikeouts and zero walks, marking an MLB record. Cole kept the Indians batters off balance for most of the game, allowing just two runs and punching out 13 batters. The dominant start led the Yankees to a convincing 12-3 win in Game 1 of the AL Wild Card Series.
