Nick Kurtz capped an amazing debut big-league campaign by claiming the 2025 AL Rookie of the Year Award. The first baseman led all MLB rookies in homers (36), RBI (86), walks (63), and slugging percentage (.619) to become the first Athletics player to earn the honor since 2009. Kurtz will go down as the first rookie ever to belt four longballs in a single game.
