In front of a sold-out Guaranteed Rate Field, Ohtani gave the opposing fans an early highlight, smashing a solo homer to right-center field in the first inning. The shot marked the Japanese-born superstar's 10th straight game with an RBI, setting a franchise record. His efforts at the plate helped to power the Dodgers to a 4-0 win.
