The Land of the Rising Sun has a new MLB home run leader, and his name is Shohei Ohtani. The Los Angeles Dodgers superstar broke a scoreless tie against the New York Mets with a two-run homer in the third inning. The shot was Ohtani's 176th career dinger, giving him the most all-time by a Japanese player. Ohtani, who has expressed his admiration for Hideki Matsui, passed the mark of 175 and now stands alone atop the Japan-born MLB home run mountain. His efforts helped power a 10-0 victory.
