The 27-year-old southpaw from Santa Monica, California, scattered just four hits and walked none over the course of a complete-game shutout. Fried only needed 90 pitches to reach 27 outs, which is the least amount of pitches needed for a shutout by a Braves pitcher since September 13, 2000 where Greg Maddux needed 89.
