Over a full calendar year passed since Atlanta Braves ace Spencer Strider was last atop an MLB mound. Returning to action to face the Toronto Blue Jays, Strider recorded his 500th career strikeout, getting Addison Barger to swing and miss in the fifth inning. He became the quickest MLB hurler ever to log that many, needing 334 innings to reach that mark.
