The Bronx faithful witnessed an offensive barrage as the Yankees overpowered the Washington Nationals in an 11-2 win. Six players homered for the Club, highlighted by back-to-back dingers in a nine-run third inning where 15 batters came to the plate. The Yankees became the first team in MLB history with three separate innings of four or more home runs in a single season.
