The veteran southpaw's fifth-inning strikeout marked the 2,400th of his storied career and moved him into the top 50 all-time. He is one of only four active pitchers who have reached this milestone, with Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer, and Clayton Kershaw being the others. Sale's six shutout innings led his team to a huge 4-3 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.
