Chris Sale continued his career renaissance on Wednesday by making history. With his second strikeout of the first inning against the Minnesota Twins, the southpaw notched his 193rd punchout of the year. That marks the most ever by a Braves left-hander in a single regular season. Warren Spahn set the mark in 1950 with 191 strikeouts, before Tom Glavine recorded 192 in 1991. Sale would strike out six batters over six one-run innings in the win, 5-1, picking up his 15th in the process.
