Thursday's game was a strong reminder of Pete Alonso's raw power. Facing the Rockies in the thin air of Colorado, the "Polar Bear" belted a pair of home runs in a 9-1 rout. His first traveled 471 feet, good for the second-longest of his career. The second traveled 454 feet, making Alonso only the eighth player in the Statcast Era (2015) with two homers of 450+ feet in the same game, and only the fourth to hit them both over 110+ mph.
