After notching a fourth-inning single in his Club's series finale with the Minnesota Twins, José Abreu increased his 2023 season-opening hit streak to 10. Remarkably, this is the longest campaign-beginning hit streak by an Astros newcomer in franchise history. What's more, irrespective of campaigns, Abreu's hit streak is the second-longest active one across Major League Baseball at 12 games, just behind Cleveland's José Ramírez at 14.
