Called into action unexpectedly in the top of the fifth inning against the New York Yankees on Friday night, Boston Red Sox reliever Joe Jacques answered the call and delivered. The Shrewsbury, NJ product tossed two solid innings, recording his first big-league strikeout in the process against outfielder Willie Calhoun. Jacques' efforts earned him his first Major League win, the final score of 15-5.
