As part of yesterday's St. Louis Cardinals victory over the Detroit Tigers, 12-6, 2022 NL Most Valuable Player Award winner Paul Goldschmidt clobbered three home runs. Goldschmidt's first two were solo shots, belted in the first and third innings off Tigers starter Alex Faedo, while his third was a two-run longball in the eighth inning. Amazingly, this is the third time Goldschmidt's collected three home runs in a single Major League Baseball game, and what's more, it helped the Cardinals to snap their eight-game losing streak.
