Arizona Diamondbacks Ketel Marte continued his hitting prowess at the plate, collecting another base knock in Game 1 of the World Series. After swiping the first stolen base of this year's Fall Classic in the third inning, the 30-year-old was back at it with a one-out double to score the man on second base in the fifth inning. Make it 17 straight games with a knock, giving Marte the longest hit streak to begin a Postseason career. His stretch also ties him with Manny Ramírez (2003-04), Derek Jeter (1998-99), and Hank Bauer (1956-58) for the longest such streak ever in Postseason history.
