Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander continued his outstanding start to the 2022 season, working a season-high eight innings, and flirting with a no-hitter in a 5-0 win over the Minnesota Twins. Verlander, who spent the majority of the last two seasons off the mound, was eyeing his fourth career no-hitter when it was broken up by a Gio Urshela single in the bottom of the eighth. "I really felt fortunate to even be in the situation," Verlander said of his performance.
