The former American League MVP became just the 49th pitcher in League history to reach 250 wins following his victory against the Washington Nationals on Sunday. "It's a moment you kind of have to take a step back and appreciate," said the three-time Cy Young Award winner, "This is one of those for me." Verlander has quietly had himself a nice July, going 5-1 with a 1.69 ERA over six starts.
