After collecting three strikeouts over the course of his start in Game 1 of the American League Division Series against the Seattle Mariners, Justin Verlander usurped Clayton Kershaw as the Postseason strikeouts leader with an astonishing 208. Although the start was far from Verlander's best, as he allowed six runs in just four innings on the mound, his Houston Astros exploded offensively, mounting a tremendous comeback, and leaving Game 1 with an 8-7 victory.
