One of the most exciting storylines of the 2022 MLB season was New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge's home run watch that cumulated in a record-breaking 62nd homer on October 4. The 30-year-old slugger maintained a sizeable lead on the field for the majority of the season, having already hit 33 home runs by the MLB All-Star break. Now well-documented, Judge's 62nd homer also makes him the new American League single-season home run king, breaking Roger Maris' record of 61 set back in 1961.
