Marcus Semien left the yard in his first at-bat during the AL East Division showdown between the New York Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays. The San Francisco, California, product jumped on 97-mph fastball, delivered from Gerrit Cole, and sent it 386 feet over the left-field wall at the Rogers Centre. This blast marked Semien's 44th of the year, marking the most for a second baseman in a single season in MLB history.
