With a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning in the contest between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Minnesota Twins, Marcus Semien tied Davey Johnson's single-season, home-run record for second basemen with 43. Davey Johnson accomplished this feat with the Atlanta Braves during his 1973 campaign. The Toronto Blue Jays went on to win the game, 6-1.
