With the Toronto Blue Jays trailing the Boston Red Sox, 8-6, in the bottom of the eighth inning, George Springer stepped up to bat with two runners on base. The three-time MLB All-Star connected on a 95-mph heater, delivered from Matt Barnes, and sent it 442 feet with an exit velocity of 109.9 mph to deep left-center-field for a go-ahead three-run homer, per Statcast. Springer's blast proved to be the deciding factor as the Blue Jays would seal the series finale, 9-8, over the Red Sox.
