Bryce Harper is a threat to take pitchers deep every time he steps up to the plate, and after he crushed a first-inning home run, the Washington Nationals immediately wanted to avoid the same fate. The division rivals chose to intentionally walk the slugger in his second at-bat, but when Harper launched his second home run of the game in the sixth inning, the Washington Nationals had seemingly had enough. Harper was intentionally walked in his final two at-bats, becoming just the fourth player ever to homer twice and be intentionally walked three times.
