After the Mets suffered a doubleheader sweep at the hands of the Marlins the day before, they needed ace right-hander Jacob deGrom to come through with a big performance, and he delivered. Jacob fired seven innings of one-run ball and struck out 14 batters to lead the Mets to an eventual 5-4 win over the Marlins.
