Jacob deGrom has been a strikeout machine since his MLB debut in 2014, exemplified by the milestone he secured against Washington. With his 2,000th career punchout, the Florida native became the fastest right-hander in Baseball history (1,661 IP) and ninth active hurler to accomplish the feat. deGrom would finish with 10 strikeouts across six, one-hit frames in a 2-0 win.
