One of the premier hitters in Baseball, Yandy Díaz, picked up a personal milestone in the Tampa Bay Rays 8-4 victory. The leadoff man laced a ground-rule double to kick off the ninth inning, recording his 1,000th career knock. With that, Díaz became the 20th Cuban native to reach the millennium mark. Díaz contributed with a 2-for-4, RBI effort against Boston.
