Getting the Opening Day nod, Toronto Blue Jays starter Kevin Gausman was dominant from the first pitch. The 35-year-old struck out the side in the top of the first frame and ended his day with 11 strikeouts over six innings, establishing a new team record for a season opener. "I just can't say enough about what he did on that mound," said Blue Jays Manager John Schneider.
