Jackson Merrill's rookie campaign has been one for the history books. The San Diego Padres young star got to work early in the team's contest against the Detroit Tigers. In the fourth inning, Merrill stepped up to the plate, crushing a three-run homer. The shot put his single-season RBI total at 82, breaking the previous franchise record of 79. Merrill's homer proved vital in his team's 6-5 walk-off win.
