The Ronel Blanco pitching express continued for another ride on Sunday. The rookie hurler provided an impressive outing against the Detroit Tigers, tossing seven no-hit, shutout frames to pick up the series sweep at Minute Maid Park. Blanco's latest effort joined him with teammate Framber Valdez as the only pitchers in Astros history with multiple starts of seven-plus no-hit innings in a campaign. The 30-year-old is pitching to a 2.97 ERA over his last five games.
