Hunter Greene's performance on Wednesday was one for the 2023 books. The 24-year-old was clicking on all cylinders, holding the Minnesota Twins to one run over seven innings while registering 14 strikeouts. His double-digit punchout effort is a career-high and makes him the first Cincinnati Reds pitcher to whiff that many batters since the 2000 campaign. Greene is now the 14th pitcher in franchise history to accomplish the feat. The young right-hander said he's been "unlocking certain levels to himself" as of late, as he's pitched to a 1.50 ERA with 35 strikeouts in his last four starts.
