Kansas City Royals fans were in for a treat Monday against the Seattle Mariners. Not only did they see Bobby Witt Jr.'s little league homer take place, but they saw leadoff man Maikel Garcia keep his hitting streak alive. The 23-year-old wasted no time, taking a 3-2 fastball down the plate and by the diving first baseman for a single in the first inning. He set a new franchise record for the longest hit streak by a rookie, giving him 16 straight games with a knock.
