Freddy Peralta had batters swinging at ghosts on Monday. In the Milwaukee Brewers game against the Colorado Rockies, the 27-year-old threw all the right stuff, tallying 31 whiffs on the day, which broke the Brewers record for most in the pitch-tracking era (2008). Those whiffs translated to strikeouts for the hurler, tying a career-high of 13. The last time Peralta tallied as many punchouts was in his 2018 debut against, you guessed it, the Colorado Rockies.
