On Sunday afternoon, the Tampa Bay Rays and left-handed starter Jeffrey Springs faced off against the Detroit Tigers and emerged victorious, 5-1. Springs would turn in the best outing of his Major League career over six scoreless innings, striking out a career-best 12 batters while allowing just one walk. What's more, Springs had allowed no hits throughout his 81-pitch performance, and his Club's bats did their part to earn this early-campaign win.
