The friendly confines of historic Wrigley Field are very familiar to Willson Contreras, who played his first seven big-league seasons for the Cubs. That experience came in handy on Monday as he and his new teammates on the St. Louis Cardinals came into town to start a three-game set. Contreras tipped his hat and saluted the crowd as a video montage played - but once the first pitch was thrown - it was all business. The 30-year-old plated two runs as the Cardinals bested their hosts, 3-1.
