In a contest that pitted his Chicago Cubs against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Willson Contreras hit the 100th home run of his Major League Baseball career. Contreras, who was the leadoff batter for the Cubs, hit a grand slam in the first inning as part of his Club's electric, eight-run rally. Incredibly, since 1901, there have only been nine other MLB players to bat leadoff and smash a grand slam in the first inning.
