Tuesday night marked the long-awaited 2023 home opener for the Toronto Blue Jays, and it was one of the team's newcomers that had the most memorable moment of the game. Outfielder Kevin Kiermaier, who was signed this past offseason after 10 seasons with Tampa Bay, made an incredible, highlight-reel snag to take away a home run in the top of the second. Detroit Tigers designated hitter Kerry Carpenter lifted a fly ball to deep center and the 32-year-old perfectly timed his leap to rob him of a home run, setting off a thunderous applause from his new home crowd.
