Saturday night's Game 3 contest against the New York Yankees was Cristian Javier's 13th career Postseason appearance, but his first career start on this stage. The 25-year-old right-hander was certainly up to the challenge, allowing just one hit over 5.1 innings while striking out five Yankees batters. Javier was primarily a starter throughout the 2022 season, but had only made one Postseason relief appearance in Game 1 of the ALDS until his winning performance last night.
