Despite falling to the Atlanta Braves, 3-2, in Game 1 of the NLCS, Will Smith had a historic performance on offense. The 26-year-old backstop launched a solo home run off a 93-mph fastball from Max Fried and sent it well into the left-field stands at Truist Park. With this homer, Smith tied Steve Yeager for the most longballs (5) by a Los Angeles Dodgers catcher in Postseason history. Yeager accomplished this feat over 38 career Postseason games, meanwhile Will has only played 29.
